The End is Near! (April Update)
Hello!
It's been a great month. We are wrapping everything up over here with just a few things left!
Parking Lot Graduation
During COVID, we wanted our Seniors to feel celebrated even though they couldn't walk at graduation. We reached out and had whoever wanted to come meet us at a Walmart parking lot. We hooked up speakers and said their names as they walked between an aisle of socially-distanced peers, cheering for them. We liked it SO much that we have kept it as an event every year since! UTD only gives graduates 4-5 tickets, so this still allows our community/family to celebrate our sweet Seniors.
Worship Team!
I have the privilege of helping coordinate and develop our worship team! We had a meeting this month where we just played worship together and lifted our voices and hands to God. It was really sweet. I really appreciate all these peeps!! They also initiated and planned their own worship night.
End of Year Party!
This year to celebrate the end of the year with our whole ministry, we did a picnic theme! It was a blast. We had outdoor games, a service portion, and they EVEN got to participate in a raffle to pie the staff person of their choice in the face! I narrowly escaped. We laughed, we cried, we worshiped, we honored people, and danced. It was sweet.
We had bleach tie dye for shirts! |
All our people! |
Stian was not so fortunate with the pies… |
Every core makes a poster representing all of their girls. I made one for the girls in my peer team and made us all Barbies according to their personalities :) |
I also had my last core :( We played code names together. God was so sweet to bring these girls into my life!
That's all for this month!! I so appreciate your support, love, and prayers. Cheers to another successful year down!
Love, Kylie
WOW! This is so cool! Looks like a busy month. I love how you build deep and meaningful relationships with your girls. Those will last FOREVER! Praise God. Love you dearly, my favorite child.
