No Wayyyy It’s November!! (November Update)
Hey, everyone! I can’t believe it’s almost December. November is the last full month of the semester that we have for our students to do core meetings, attend the grove (our weekly service), and continue to gain some momentum before Thanksgiving break, Finals week, and going home for 5-6 weeks! It’s also a month that we celebrate thankfulness, and I am just SO thankful for all of you. Your prayers and monetary donations are undeserved and a true blessing/gift. I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without you. So, THANK YOU!
One of the best things that we do is an event called Pizza Theology. Once a semester, we call all our campuses together and engage at a more theological level with the Bible with our students. This year we had Rikk Watts come and do the talk! He was a seminary professor of New Testament and is very knowledgeable of the Bible. He spoke about John and it was so good and enlightening. I’ll link his talk below in case you want something to listen to! We do 2 hours of lecture, take an hour pizza break, and then finish with 2 hours of lecture. I’ve also included some pics below :)

| Some of our UTD girls that came to Pizza Theology, eating dinner together! |
These are some of the girls I get to spend time with every week, Sarina and Nyellie. They are Core leaders together. Nyellie became part of our ministry about a year and a half ago. Sarina tried out a couple ministries before actually finding and being consistent in FOCUS. They were in core together last year (not leading) and developed a friendship. Now this year they get to lead core together and have such a sweet group of girls to spend weekly time with. They are both full-time students; Nyellie works at H-E-B, Sabrina commutes from about 25 mins away. They have a LOT on their plates, but they volunteer about 8-10 hours a week minimum to be leaders in our ministry. I am just so proud of them! They are so life-giving to me. We spend about 1-2 hours a week talking about how their core is going, what needs they have, what questions about ministry they have. Getting to mentor and befriend core leaders is one of my favorite parts of this job.
Pray that we can wrap up the school year well, and that we can honor our students and their commitment to our ministry, and to God! It’s all for His glory.
I am so thankful for you all!
Love, Kylie
