End of Year Boogie and Blues (May Update)
May came and went! The month FLEW by, sorry for the late update :) I was so richly blessed this year to know and love all the people I did ministry with. Every school year just makes me fall more and more in love with God, His people, and doing Kingdom work at UTD. The “Boogie” part of the month was our end of year party and celebrating together! The “blues” is that the school year is over :( But I am so thankful for all that this year held!
I want to start by saying THANK YOU to you, my ministry partners, for making all of this possible! I couldn’t do it without your prayers, love, and financial support.
Let’s get into it!
BAPTISMS!
My favorite part of the month was getting to baptize my sweet friend, Jessica. Jessica is a corefa (student leader) at UTD, and has been in my peer team the last two years. She was also in my core her freshman year, which was.the year I was an apprentice at UTD. I spend biweekly time with Jessica, and it just makes my heart SO full. She is sweet, kind, thoughtful, and loves God. Through a lot of hardship in her life, she has continued the pursuit of getting to know Jesus. It has been so cool to watch! She made the decision recently to get baptized, so we did it in her backyard pool. I love this girl and am praising Jesus for what He’s done in her life!
EOY Party
Sadly, I was having too much fun to take any pictures, but our end-of-year party was a blast! We had food and karaoke, and handed out “year books” with the different core groups that they could autograph for each other. We also did some worship and spent time honoring different people who played a significant role in the ministry (worship leaders, small group leaders, sound team, etc.) It was a super encouraging time of fun, laughter, and praising God for what He did this school year!!
That’s all for this school year. God taught me a lot of neat things and I was so blessed to get to work on an amazing team of people who walked through the year with me. I can’t wait for next school year and all that it holds!
Thanks so much for tuning in to this month’s update. Until next time!!
Much Love,
Kylie Sanchez
