Feeling SO Thankful! (November Update)

What’s up, guys!

November came and went, and left me feeling THANKFUL!

First and foremost, thank you so much for your support! It means the world. I am thankful to get to work in ministry full time at UTD, which wouldn’t be possible without your partnership. 

I am thankful for God’s mercy, that he pours out freely and makes available to me every morning. 

I am thankful for my family and friends and people who make my life full!

I could go on and on, but just feeling so grateful. I’d love for you to comment with one thing YOU’RE thankful for in this season! That allows me to praise God with you for His blessings. :)

Pizza Theology

Each semester, we host a Pizza Theology. We have 2 hours of lecture, an hour of pizza dinner, and 2 more hours of lecture! Sometimes our own staff will prepare and teach the material, but this year, we had Iain Provan come out! Iain was a seminary professor at Regent College, where we were introduced to his phenomenal Old Testament Foundations class. At this Pizza Theology, he talked about a book he wrote recently that I highly recommend, “Cuckoos in Our Nest.” We had students from all of our FOCUS campuses come out to engage their faith intellectually, and it was so cool! 

Keep FOCUS Growing!

Every year we have a fundraiser to enable FOCUS to continue reaching campuses in the DFW metroplex for Jesus. This year, our theme for Keep FOCUS Growing is, “Shining Brighter.” 

We have up to $55,000 in matching funds pledged by generous donors! It’s not too late to give, and any dollar helps. Obviously I am already SO thankful for how you currently support our ministry, but if this is something you feel that God may want you to give in addition, I hope you will!

WORSHIP NIGHT!

This was really cool! We had a combined worship night with a few other ministries on campus! It was really neat to be reminded that that are other ministries with the same mission as FOCUS, winning people to Jesus and developing them to look more like Him! Here’s some sweet pics :)

Thank you for praying for me! We only have a couple more weeks of school before our students leave for Christmas break.. so pray we will finish the semester strong, and continue to seek God in everything we do. Love to you all!
